Treatment Approach

In my practice, I draw heavily from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) models. CBT is an evidenced-based therapy that focuses on the development of healthy coping skills aimed at solving current issues, as well as changing unhealthy cognitions and behaviors. The goal of CBT is to alter thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in such a way to promote positive behavior and improved well-being. In addition, I use other evidence-based treatments, including exposure therapy, behavioral activation, dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT), and behavioral modification/parent training.
